Speaking at the opening ceremony, journalist Le Cao Cuong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, emphasized that learning AI today is not only to understand technology, but also to change the mindset of journalism - to change the approach, speed and quality of journalism products, thereby successfully building a digital newsroom. According to Mr. Cuong, students do not only learn to know, but also need to immediately apply AI to their professional work, contributing to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of daily work.

"After the training course, each student must apply at least 2-3 different AI tools to serve their professional work. The spirit of the course is to be proactive - creative - open-minded, and especially encourage the sharing of knowledge, experience, and the formation of internal study groups" - Mr. Le Cao Cuong said.

MSc. Dinh Duy Linh, Director of the Post and Telecommunications Training Center II - PTIT, said that this course continues the effective cooperation between the Academy and the Lao Dong Newspaper in recent times. "We appreciate the pioneering spirit of innovation of the editorial board. In the past year, the two sides have successfully organized 2 training courses and 2 seminars on AI. The Lao Dong Newspaper is also one of the first press units to launch the AI365 and virtual MC columns, contributing to the strong spread of the trend of making newspapers using technology," Mr. Linh shared.

According to MSc. Linh, over the past year, the Academy has trained AI for about 2,000 students and popularized AI for a large number of people, estimated at more than 10,000 people, cooperating with nearly 50 businesses, including big names such as VNPT, Mobile World... The rapid development of AI technology today, according to Mr. Linh, has far surpassed many previous barriers and is opening up great opportunities for industries, especially journalism.

"Today, AI can understand users hundreds of times better than before. With the spirit of continuous innovation between the two units, I believe that students will effectively apply AI to their work right after this course," Mr. Linh emphasized.
