Vietnamese doctor and veteran awarded honorary professorship

Dr. Nguyen Xuan Lam was honored to receive the title of Honorary Professor of the American International University from Professor, Dr. Richard.H.Gayer, Academic Director of the School.

This is a well-deserved recognition for his tireless dedication to health care and social service.

The award ceremony took place solemnly with the presence of academic leaders from the US International University's campuses in San Jose, San Diego, Mongolia, Vietnam... with the participation of 17 outstanding scientists , managers, and businessmen from Vietnam and more than 300 2025 graduates of the school worldwide.

According to Dr. Ryan Doan, President of the American International University, the title of Honorary Professor is awarded to honor Dr. Nguyen Xuan Lam's "outstanding contributions and significant achievements in the medical field, along with his active role in the community."

Dr. Nguyen Xuan Lam attended a conference at Harvard University on July 16, 2025.

With extensive experience and dedication in research, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Lam has brought many innovative initiatives in disease diagnosis and treatment; especially in the field of public health care, applying advanced medical equipment of the world to Vietnam.

The Yersin International Clinic, which he runs, is one of the first units in Vietnam to use artificial intelligence (AI) in gastrointestinal endoscopy.

In addition to his professional achievements, doctor and veteran Nguyen Xuan Lam is also widely known for his meaningful volunteer activities. Over the years, he and his colleagues have organized medical examinations, provided free medicine, supported funding to build houses of gratitude for veterans in difficult circumstances, and awarded scholarships to poor students and families with meritorious services in remote areas, contributing to spreading the spirit of compassion and social responsibility of doctors in the new era.

From 2021 to 2024, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Lam was awarded many Certificates of Merit by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Veterans Association, the Ho Chi Minh City Veterans Association, and the Vietnam Veterans Business Association for his excellent business achievements and contributions to charity and social work.

On November 30, 2024, in Berlin (Germany), he was one of 10 outstanding Vietnamese people to receive an honorary doctorate degree from the American International University in recognition of his great contributions in the fields of medicine and the community.
