Of which, there are about 58,000 international visitors (up 11%) and 73,000 domestic visitors (up 93% over the same period last year).

Room occupancy rates at accommodation establishments also showed positive signs. The group of 3-5 star hotels reached over 90% occupancy, while the group of 1-2 star hotels also reached around 60%-65%. In particular, the number of domestic tourists increased sharply on April 30. Many large resorts achieved high occupancy rates such as Hoiana over 95%, Hoian Beach over 96%, Emerald 98%...

Hoi An ancient town has become a top attractive destination, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.

During April 30 and May 1, the streets in the old quarter were always crowded with visitors. At the province's famous beaches, people flocked to have fun, swim and enjoy local cuisine.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, said that the remarkable growth in the number of tourists in the first days of the holiday shows the strong attraction of Quang Nam tourism industry, and is also a positive signal for the recovery and development of the local tourism industry after many efforts to promote, improve quality, and launch many attractive incentive products.

Mr. Hong said that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province is continuing to accompany accommodation establishments and travel businesses to continue organizing many activities to serve tourists during the upcoming summer vacation.

*On the morning of May 2, the Hue City People's Committee Office announced that the total number of tourists coming to Hue on April 30 and May 1 was estimated at 160,000, of which international visitors were estimated at 40,500, with room occupancy reaching 98%. Revenue from tourism was estimated at VND330 billion.

The Hue Monuments Conservation Center counted about 29,739 arrivals, of which 2,682 were international visitors and 27,057 were domestic visitors, with an estimated revenue of 4.18 billion VND. Since the beginning of the year, the number of visitors to the relic sites in the area has been more than 1.23 million. Of which, 610,893 were international visitors and 622,217 were domestic visitors, with an estimated revenue of more than 185 billion VND.

To celebrate the holidays, Thieu Phuong Garden, Co Ha Garden and the Interior Palace (Hue Imperial City) are open free of charge to all visitors in the evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., for 6 consecutive nights from April 26 to May 1. Thousands of visitors have flocked to the Imperial City to enjoy the space imbued with the cultural identity of the ancient capital.

This long holiday, along with favorable weather, has quite a lot of visitors at beaches such as Thuan An, Phu Thuan, Lang Co in Hue City. At Thuan An beach, cars are packed, the road is blocked for a long time.
