Two US C-17 heavy transport aircraft landed consecutively at Noi Bai

At 9:40 this morning (September 3), a C-17 heavy military transport aircraft landed at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi (Photo: Tien Tuan).

This is the second US transport plane in three days to Hanoi, carrying many goods and specialized vehicles to serve US President Joe Biden, who is expected to visit Vietnam on September 10 (Photo: Tien Tuan).

The C-17 Globemaster III has a fuselage length of 53m and a wingspan of 51.75m. With a cargo compartment width of 5.5m and a maximum height of 4.6m, the C-17 Globemaster III is capable of carrying up to 78 tons of cargo or 102 paratroopers, suitable for operations requiring the transport of large numbers of people and equipment to and from locations far from the base (Photo: Tien Tuan).
