100 tennis players seek places at SEA Games 33

On the afternoon of August 14, the VTF Pro Tour 200 Men's and Women's Championship - AP Sports Cup opened and began competing at the tennis court cluster of the Community Sports Center, Binh Duong Ward, until August 20.

9 tennis development units across the country competed including AP Sports Club, Ho Chi Minh City, Army, Becamex Binh Duong, Hanoi , Xuan Phuc Club - Ninh Binh, Quang Hanh Club - Khanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Dong Nai.

Some strong players include Vu Ha Minh Duc (AP Sports Club), Le Trung Tinh (Army), to excellent young players such as Nguyen Minh Phat (AP Sports), Tu Le Khanh Duy (Xuan Phuc - Ninh Binh Club), Nguyen Dai Khanh (Becamex Binh Duong), Ngo Hong Hanh (Army), Nguyen Thi Mai Linh (Hanoi).

Players compete in 5 events of the VTF Pro Tour 200 tournament system including men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Son, Vice President and General Secretary of VTF, said: "The results of the tournament will be one of the important bases for VTF to assess and evaluate the quality of tennis players, serving the selection of forces to participate in the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand."

Mr. Mai Hoai Anh - Vice President of AP Sports Club - shared: "We believe that tournaments like VTF Pro Tour 200 will be a launching pad for Vietnamese tennis to discover, nurture and bring young talents to conquer the top level of tennis."
