On the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024), in order to help cadres, party members and people grasp and understand the leadership and direction of the head of the Communist Party of Vietnam and thoroughly grasp and organize the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the National Political Publishing House Truth has launched 2 books by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The titles of the two books are: Turn challenges into opportunities, determined to create breakthroughs to develop the country quickly and sustainably ; Build a clean and strong Party and political system, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

The content of the two books is a selection of typical speeches, articles, addresses, letters, telegrams... of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in the 3 years of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party (2021 - 2023); demonstrating the General Secretary's comprehensive leadership and direction in all fields, with sectors, levels, and localities.

The National Political Publishing House Truth said that the publication of these two books is a continuation of the books the General Secretary published during the 11th and 12th terms of the Party.

New policies on anti-corruption

The book Turning challenges into opportunities, determined to create breakthroughs to bring the country to rapid and sustainable development selects speeches, articles, interviews, letters, telegrams... of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong from April 2021 to December 2022.

The book mentions: in the context of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, affecting the whole world, and also having a very heavy impact on the country, the strategic orientation of the Party Central Committee, headed by the General Secretary, is an important driving force for the entire Party and people to overcome difficulties and challenges, quickly concretize and implement the resolutions and goals of the 13th National Congress with high determination, in order to create a breakthrough, turn challenges into opportunities, take advantage of every opportunity, seize all conditions, and complete the set plans with the highest results.

The book mentions the policies that have been issued such as: new regulations on the functions and tasks of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity, supplementing and expanding the functions and tasks of directing the prevention and combating corruption and negativity, focusing on preventing and combating the degradation of political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle among cadres and party members, considering this the root of all problems.

The book also mentions the establishment of a provincial steering committee on corruption and negativity prevention and control to overcome the situation of "hot above, cold below"; gradually perfecting the "four no's" institutions and policies in corruption and negativity prevention and control to "not dare", "not be able", "not want", "not need" corruption and negativity.
