Regarding the case of Dang Thai Mai Private High School (Hong Ky Commune, Soc Son District, Hanoi) being built without permission on public land, on April 14, Mr. Dam Khac Sy, Principal of the school, said: Since last weekend, the school has dismantled the 4th floor and the back part of the building.

Regarding the construction project without a permit, Mr. Sy said that the Soc Son District Inspectorate requested that the documents be completed within 90 days, and that the current status be maintained for now. However, the school still dismantled the roof and the 4th floor to reduce pressure on the local government.

However, because the construction is close to the classroom and students are in the final exam preparation period, if it is dismantled during the week, it will affect their studies. Therefore, the school decided to partially dismantle the illegal construction on the weekend.

Mr. Sy also said that Dang Thai Mai High School has been operating for a long time, contributing to solving the learning needs of children in 5-6 "remote" communes of Soc Son district. Therefore, the school hopes that the city will support and guide students to continue to have a place to study.

As Tien Phong reported, since the end of 2024, Dang Thai Mai High School has arbitrarily built a 4-storey classroom building on the foundation of an old level 4 house. According to the verification results of the People's Committee of Hong Ky commune, the land to build the school includes residential land and public land managed by the People's Committee of the commune.

More than 20 years ago, the People's Committee of Hong Ky commune leased public land to an individual for a period of 20 years (expiring in September 2025). However, this person later arbitrarily leased it back to the school to build Dang Thai Mai High School.

Currently, the Inspection Team of the People's Committee of Soc Son district is conducting an inspection to clarify the illegal construction of Dang Thai Mai High School. At the same time, inspecting the responsibilities of related organizations and individuals.
