VNPT and Korean partners cooperate to develop super-scale AI Data Center in Vietnam

Within the framework of the Vietnam - Korea Economic Forum held in Seoul, on August 12, 2025, under the witness of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam and Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Kim Min-seok, VNPT Group and partners LG CNS and KIRA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate in developing a super-scale AI Data Center.

According to the agreement, the three parties will jointly develop a hyperscale AI data center in Vietnam that meets international standards on digital infrastructure, security and performance, serving the needs of national digital transformation, developing advanced digital services for the Vietnamese and regional markets. The parties will establish a joint working group of industry experts to jointly research, design and deploy the development of the data center, from hardware infrastructure (servers, storage systems) to network infrastructure (telecommunications, circuits), aiming to build a strong AI platform for Vietnam. Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony on August 11, 2025, Mr. To Dung Thai - Chairman of the Board of Directors of VNPT Group emphasized: “This agreement not only opens up a new direction of cooperation in the field of AI data centers, but also creates a foundation for many other key digital transformation projects between VNPT, LG CNS and KIRA. We believe that the combination of the strengths of the three parties will bring long-term and practical values to both Vietnam and Korea.”

This event marks an important milestone in VNPT's international cooperation process, affirming VNPT's pioneering role in developing digital infrastructure and promoting national digital transformation.
