This is an important step forward affirming VNPT's pioneering role in efforts to promote national digital transformation, while expanding international cooperation, towards building a modern, safe and sustainable digital ecosystem in Vietnam.

GSMA Open Gateway is a global initiative led by GSMA to standardize application programming interfaces (APIs) between operators. This will enable businesses, developers and organizations in the digital ecosystem to easily access and integrate telecommunications-technology services in a flexible, secure and transparent manner. To date, the initiative has had the participation of more than 280 operators, accounting for 80% of total global mobile connections.

Speaking at the event, VNPT-Media Deputy General Director Vu Van Trieu said: Joining GSMA Open Gateway is a strategic step to help VNPT promote its leading role in the national digital transformation. We are committed to providing open API solutions, better serving the needs of authentication, security, reconciliation and digital transactions, while promoting comprehensive financial models, cross-border payments as well as safe and modern digital services for people and businesses.

In Vietnam, VNPT aims to develop API services according to Open Gateway in 5 key areas: User authentication; telecommunications services; digital finance; IoT and 5G; scoring, fraud detection. These are all important pillars in the digital ecosystem and the foundation for deploying new technology applications in the digital age.

As a technology-telecommunications group with strong implementation capacity, VNPT is always at the forefront of applying advanced technologies such as AI, Big Data, Blockchain to bring high-quality digital products and services. The cooperation event with GSMA once again shows that VNPT is constantly innovating, proactively integrating internationally, and is ready to accompany the Government and businesses in the process of building a comprehensive and sustainably developed digital Vietnam.
