The away team opened the scoring thanks to foreign player Henen David in the 62nd minute. However, that advantage was equalized just 3 minutes later.
Ngoc My scored the equalizer for Dong A Thanh Hoa. Starting from an uncomfortable hanging ball situation, goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung ( Da Nang ) rushed out and punched the ball inaccurately, creating conditions for Ngoc My to easily head the ball into an empty net.
However, Bui Tien Dung's overall performance was commendable, he commanded the Han River team's defense to play quite disciplined and only conceded defeat at one moment.
One point in the opening round of the 2025-2026 V-League season is acceptable for Dong A Thanh Hoa and SHB Da Nang.
