Regarding digital government, answering questions during the meeting with voters of District 4, District 7 and Nha Be District on July 3, Mr. Phan Van Mai, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that to facilitate communication between the government, people and businesses, the City is currently assigning the Department of Information and Communications and the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center to build a digital citizen application as a communication channel.

Based on integration with the population database, this application will be a digital platform for people to communicate with the government. The city also aims to resolve administrative procedures on this digital platform.

Speaking to VietNamNet reporter, Ms. Vo Thi Trung Trinh, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center, said that the City's digital citizen application will use VNeID account as identification. Currently, Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center has tested the connection with the national population database and has approved the technique.

According to Ms. Vo Thi Trung Trinh, Ho Chi Minh City residents only need a level 2 VNeID account to use the digital citizen application. On this application, residents can register for public services, view interaction results from public service systems, and the City's administrative procedure settlement system, instead of having to go to the website.

The 1022 application, the City's Digital Map will also be integrated into the digital citizen application to increase convenience for citizens. In addition, public services by field group, essential services in health, education, schools, finding directions, traffic jam information, flood information... will also be integrated into the application.

The Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center added that the digital citizen application will also be used as a ticket for payment on public transport, because the City has a subsidy policy for people using these means of transport.

Currently, the digital citizen application is being urgently completed by the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center and will soon be launched for people to use in the near future.
