Youth of Military Region 5: Volunteers make achievements to welcome the congress

With the spirit of "Promoting the tradition of heroic Zone 5, raising high the August red flag, competing to win the 3 best", in recent times, the youth of Military Zone 5 have strived to compete, train, and take the lead in all tasks, achieving many achievements to welcome the congress.

Traditional education from red addresses

During the autumn days of August, hundreds of cadres, soldiers and youth union members of agencies and units once again understood more about the revolutionary historical flow of the Army in general and the Military Region in particular when participating in the marches to the source, to the historical sites that "tell stories" in the Military Region 5. Those meaningful journeys contributed to educating the younger generation about tradition and strengthening the close relationship between the army and the people.

The Monument to Soldiers of Regiment 143 was inaugurated before the Congress of Party Delegates of Military Region 5.

After crossing nearly 150km of mountain and forest roads, nearly 100 cadres, young party members, youth union members of the regular army, border guards and militia of the Da Nang City People's Armed Forces arrived at Tra Tan commune, where the Nuoc Oa historical relic site is located - the revolutionary base of the Regional Party Committee and the Military Region 5 Command during the resistance war against the US to save the country.

Under the sun of more than 35 degrees Celsius, the group actively carried out volunteer work to clean up and take care of the memorial garden around the relic site... In the lush old forest, after a solemn moment of lighting incense sticks to pay tribute to generations of fathers and brothers, all the officers and soldiers felt a surge of national pride because they heard stories about the heroic feats of soldiers in the past; understood the place chosen by the Military Region 5 Command as a revolutionary base...

Along with other activities, here, the Da Nang City Military Command presented 30 gifts of gratitude to families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions in the locality and presented 10 bicycles to support disadvantaged students to go to school. Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Dong, Deputy Head of Political Department of the City Military Command shared: “This trip is also for the young generation of soldiers to know about a revolutionary base of the Military Region. And with the affection and responsibility of Uncle Ho's soldiers, we also want to contribute a small effort to the Nuoc Oa Historical Relic Site and the people living near the relic site.”

Works and projects towards the congress

Despite the harsh weather, on the training ground and training grounds of Regiment 143, Division 315, everywhere you go you see radiant, youthful faces actively studying, working, and enthusiastically training.

Captain Nguyen The Tin - Assistant to the Regiment's Mass Work said: "In the past time, each cadre, union member and youth has made efforts, overcome difficulties, competed to complete assigned tasks well; especially training tasks, combat readiness, implementing regular routines, and obeying discipline. Along with that, the unit organized many activities to educate patriotism, national pride, and the glorious traditions of the Army and Military Region".

Along with proactive and creative activities in performing tasks, the youth of Regiment 143 have promoted the emulation movement with specific actions, projects and tasks to welcome party congresses at all levels towards the 11th National Party Congress.

Right from the beginning of the year, the Youth Union organizations under the Youth Union have developed plans to identify appropriate youth work and projects, which are both educational and contribute to beautifying the unit's landscape; actively renewing the unit's campus; building gardens for growing crops and production... Especially the "Soldier Monument" project engraved with the names of 240 martyrs of the regiment who sacrificed their lives while participating in international service in the northeastern battlefield of Cambodia. This is a "relief" full of the passion of the officers and soldiers of Regiment 143; becoming a vivid visual model to improve the effectiveness of historical and traditional education for officers and soldiers of the unit.

Soldier Nguyen Sinh Cung (Youth Union member of Company 11, Battalion 3, Regiment 143), who directly participated in the construction of the project, confided: “It is an honor for us, the members and youth, to contribute a small part of our efforts to build a meaningful project to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels. I hope that the project will contribute to educating the heroic tradition of the members and youth, while also beautifying the landscape of the unit.”

Cadres, young party members, youth union members of the Standing Army, Border Guard and Militia and Self-Defense Forces of Da Nang City participated in the source visit at the Nuoc Oa historical relic site.

In the exciting competitive atmosphere, the youth of the Military Region's armed forces units, the activities of officers and soldiers of the Da Nang City Military Command and Regiment 143, Division 315 are among the outstanding activities of the Military Region towards the congress.
