Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City honors 12 new professors and associate professors

On November 20, Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung, Principal of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City, said that our Party and State always consider education as the top national policy, the driving force for national development, and at the same time highly value the position and role of teachers in the cause of education and training generations to build and defend the Fatherland.

According to Mr. Trung, as of November 15, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Banking University has 200 professors, associate professors, and doctors, accounting for more than 55% of the teaching staff, much higher than the average in Vietnam (about 30%). Most importantly, this high-quality teaching staff develops evenly in all training areas of the school.

Not only does the school have a large number of professors, associate professors, and doctors of economics, it also has the largest number of professors, associate professors, and doctors in Vietnam specializing in artificial intelligence (AI), data science , and financial technology (38 professors, associate professors, and doctors, leading experts). This helps to effectively serve the digital transformation process for the country and the banking industry as well as the school's interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary training.

This year, Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City is the school with the most lecturers recognized by the State Council of Professors as Professors and Associate Professors with 12 people. The school also recruited 6 new Professors and Associate Professors, nearly doubling the number of Professors and Associate Professors compared to 2023.
