Through direct contact with the PTKV1 Command Board, Lieutenant Colonel Ong Van An, Commander of the PTKV1 Command Board, said: From 11pm on August 20 to 7am on August 21, in the area under the PTKV1 Command Board, there was prolonged heavy rain causing localized flooding in wards 5, 7, 8 (Long Hung ward); Huong Phuoc and Vuon Dua wards (Phuoc Tan ward); wards 6, 27, 32 (Long Binh ward); An Lam hamlet, Xom Goc (Long Thanh commune); Phuoc Binh 5 and Cau Vat hamlets (Phuoc Thai commune); hamlets 1 and Tam An 5 (An Phuoc commune); Bau Tre - Sa Ca inter-hamlet road (Binh An commune).

Upon receiving the information, the local military command immediately mobilized more than 100 officers and soldiers to coordinate with functional forces to promptly respond and help people overcome the consequences of the natural disaster. By 12 noon on August 21, no human casualties were recorded. Regarding property, a level 4 house worth about 250 million VND collapsed, other properties are still being counted.

Also according to Lieutenant Colonel Ong Van An, by noon on August 21, the situation had stabilized, local militia forces and functional forces closely followed and grasped the area, ensured security and order, helped people overcome the consequences of natural disasters, and relocated valuable assets.
At the PTKV2 Command, flooding occurred locally in some areas of Xuan Que, Xuan Lap and some neighboring areas; no information on human damage was recorded; assets are being counted by the forces. In particular, the provincial armed forces closely followed the area, supported people in evacuating assets, protected security and order, and encouraged people to overcome difficulties caused by natural disasters.
