Accordingly, the combined admission method will be changed by the National Economics University, divided into the following 3 groups of subjects:

Group 1 includes candidates with international SAT or ACT certificates.

The admission requirement for this group is that candidates achieve an SAT score of 1,200 or higher or an ACT score of 26 or higher within 2 years from June 1, 2024. The quota for this group is 5% according to the admission code and total quota.

The school considers from high to low until the quota is full according to the admission score.

Admission score (AS) on a 30-point scale is determined as follows: AS = SAT/ACT converted score + priority points (if any).

In which, SAT and ACT scores are converted to a scale of 30, specifically: SAT converted score = SAT score * 30/1600; ACT converted score = ACT score * 30/36.

Group 2 includes candidates with the aptitude test (HSA) of Hanoi National University or (APT) of Ho Chi Minh City National University or with the thinking test (TSA) of Hanoi University of Science and Technology or candidates with an international English certificate combined with one of the above HSA/APT/TSA test scores.

Admission requirements: Candidates must have an HSA score of 85 or higher, an APT score of 700 or higher, or a TSA score of 60 or higher; candidates must have an international English certificate of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 46 or TOEIC (4 skills: L&R 785, S 160, W 150) or higher combined with the above HSA/APT/TSA scores.

HSA/APT/TSA test scores and international English certificates must be valid for 2 years from June 1, 2024.

The quota for this group is 45% according to the admission code and total quota.

Admission score (ADS) on a scale of 30 is determined as follows:

- With HSA/APT/TSA points: Conversion points = HSA/APT/TSA conversion points + priority points (if any).

In which HSA, APT, TSA scores are converted to a scale of 30, specifically: HSA converted score = HSA score * 30/150; APT converted score = APT score * 30/1200; TSA converted score = TSA score * 30/100.

- With international English certificate scores combined with HSA/APT/TSA scores:

DXT = international English certificate conversion score + HSA/APT/TSA conversion score *2/3 + priority points (if any).

Group 3 uses a combination of international English certificate conversion scores and high school graduation exam scores in 2024.

Conditions for receiving application documents: Candidates have an international English certificate within 2 years as of June 1, 2024, achieving IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 46 or TOEIC (4 skills: L&R 785, S 160, W 150) or higher and have a high school graduation exam score in 2024 in math and one subject other than English in the school's admission groups.

The quota for this group is 30% according to the admission code and total quota.

Admission score (ADS) on a 30-point scale is as follows:

DXT = converted score of international English certificate + total score of 2 admission subjects + priority points (if any).

In which: Total score of 2 admission subjects = Total score of 2024 high school graduation exam of math and 1 other subject, English, in the school's admission groups.

Eliminate high school transcripts

Previously, on December 28, 2023, the National Economics University announced its enrollment plan for 2024. The expected quota is 6,200 (not including 6 upcoming majors).

Of which, the school will directly recruit 2% of the total quota, 18% will be used for considering the 2024 high school graduation exam scores. The remaining 80%, the school will recruit in combination according to its own project.

Thus, this year, the National Economics University no longer considers admission based on academic records, but reserves half of its quota for admission based on certificate scores and separate exams.

Last year, the school's graduation exam score benchmark ranged from 8.5 to 9 points per subject. The tuition fee at the National Economics University is currently around 16 to 22 million VND for standard programs.
