With the theme “UDA Startup Innovation 2025”, this year’s competition takes place from March 25 to June 30 with 3 rounds of competition, expected to attract more than 50 startup ideas to register, mainly focusing on 3 highly applicable fields: engineering, trade - services and health - medicine.

From there, 15 potential projects were formed, incubated in depth and developed into highly applicable products in practice, connecting with businesses and investment funds.

Student startup project groups will be guided on methods, shared startup knowledge, supported in developing ideas and completing projects; participate in startup training sessions, plan investment in project ideas and skills in capital calling, presentation - negotiation with experts to prepare suitable conditions for each round of competition.

At the same time, companion units and startup consultants will participate in supporting capital raising, investment calling and product commercialization for projects that are assessed as promising in terms of high application level and feasibility.

According to the representative of Dong A University, after 3 seasons, the competition has become a place to connect and develop more than 150 student startup projects, and more than 500 students have participated in startup and innovation training courses.

There have been 3 startup projects developed into real businesses; more than 10 other projects are continuing to compete in regional and national startup playgrounds such as SV_STARTUP, SURF, RnD to Startup...

In recent times, Dong A University has had many activities in developing science and technology and innovation such as implementing city-level research topics; organizing university-level student scientific research competitions; participating and winning many high awards in city-level student scientific research competitions.

With its contributions and achievements in startup activities, Dong A University was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City for its outstanding achievements in startup and innovation activities in 2024.

On March 25, the UDA Alumni Startup Club was also launched and had its first networking activities. The club is where alumni support, advise, share experiences and accompany potential startup projects, helping students have more motivation to turn ideas into reality.

Within the framework of the 2025 competition launching ceremony, useful startup idea presentations took place such as: “Connecting the startup ecosystem: Market access strategy and investment attraction for student projects”; “From ideas to innovation: Building a solid foundation for student startups”…

Especially sharing startup experiences from startup businesses that are partners and alumni of the school; discussion sessions, direct dialogue between startup companion units and project groups that are being implemented...
