On the afternoon of September 11, Nghe An Agricultural Extension Center held a ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Minh Linh - Deputy Director of the National Agricultural Extension Center; Dinh Viet Hong - former Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, Science and Technology, Home Affairs... and representatives of provincial and district-level departments and branches.

On September 11, 1993, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Decision No. 1862/QD.UB to establish the Nghe An Center for Science, Technology and Agricultural Extension, the predecessor of the current Nghe An Center for Agricultural Extension. To date, the Nghe An Center for Agricultural Extension has just celebrated its 30th anniversary.

Over the years, the Nghe An Agricultural Extension organization system has been continuously strengthened and developed, creating an agricultural extension network system that meets the requirements and tasks set forth. Agricultural extension activities are increasingly diverse in content and methods; contributing to the rapid transfer of policies, scientific and technological advances into agricultural production.

One of the key tasks of agricultural extension activities over the past 30 years has been to build demonstration models and transfer scientific and technological advances through propaganda, training and vocational training in agriculture for rural workers.

On average, each year the Agricultural Extension Center builds 25-30 demonstration models (cultivation, livestock, forestry and aquaculture) to transfer technical advances to farmers through new technical advances, new plant and animal varieties with a scale of over 6,000 hectares of agricultural, forestry and aquaculture land; more than 180 thousand livestock, poultry, aquatic breeds of all kinds... for about 33,600 participating households.

For the new rural development program, the Agricultural Extension Center has coordinated with the People's Committees of communes to build 55 models, creating conditions for thousands of households to participate in accessing new scientific and technological advances, helping farmers change their thinking and working methods to organize production to bring about higher economic efficiency. Propaganda and training work is also given special attention by the Agricultural Extension Center.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Le Minh Linh - Deputy Director of the National Agricultural Extension Center acknowledged the achievements that Nghe An Agricultural Extension Center has achieved during 30 years of establishment and development. At the same time, he hoped that the unit would always promote its tradition, strive to fulfill its tasks, and always accompany farmers with the slogan "Where there are farmers, there is agricultural extension".

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee congratulated the achievements of the Agricultural Extension Center; at the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, Nghe An Agricultural Extension Center will strive to complete key tasks: promote the role of accompanying and supporting farmers; continue to innovate and build an increasingly dynamic Nghe An agricultural extension system with enough capacity to perform well the role of advising, consulting, supporting production and rural agricultural development; create breakthroughs in research, application of science - technology, innovation, digital transformation; train human resources in agriculture and rural areas; have many creative models, support farmers, apply new technologies to agricultural production...

On this occasion, the National Agricultural Extension Center awarded Certificates of Merit to 8 individuals with outstanding achievements in 30 years of building and developing Nghe An Agricultural Extension Center; Nghe An Provincial People's Committee awarded a banner and Certificates of Merit to 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in building and developing Nghe An Agricultural Extension Center; The Ministry of Public Security awarded a Commemorative Medal to Mr. Ta Quang Sang - Director of the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center; The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals with outstanding achievements at Nghe An Agricultural Extension Center.
