North Korea condemns UN Security Council

Kim Yo-jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and a senior ruling party official, said that by accepting "gangster-like demands" from Washington and ignoring North Korea's right to explore space, the Security Council was showing that it was just a " political appendage" of the United States.

"I am deeply dissatisfied that the UN Security Council repeatedly calls for discussion on the DPRK's exercise of its rights as a sovereign state, at the request of the United States," Ms. Kim said in a statement carried by the KCNA news agency. According to her, this is an act of interference in the internal affairs of the DPRK, violating its sovereignty. Ms. Kim said that Pyongyang has the right to defend itself against threats from the US and its allies.
