On the afternoon of August 20, in Hanoi, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien received Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Ha Vi, on the occasion of his visit and work with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Expressing his joy at receiving Ambassador Ha Vi at a time when the two Parties, two countries and two peoples are joyfully looking forward to the two countries' important anniversaries, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien stated that in just over 10 days, the entire Party and people of Vietnam will solemnly celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2 (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

This is an important milestone for Vietnam to look back on the nation's heroic revolutionary process, towards a new era of development; it is also an opportunity for the two countries to review the historical years of the two Parties, two countries, and two peoples standing side by side, overcoming hardships, fighting for national independence and building socialism.
Mr. Do Van Chien highly appreciated the positive development trend in the relationship between the two Parties and countries over the past time; especially the high-level exchanges and contacts taking place closely with high frequency, political trust has been enhanced, demonstrating the close affection and traditional friendship of "comrades and brothers" between the two Parties and two countries.
Regular high-level visits and contacts have continuously added momentum and maintained strong momentum for bilateral relations, helping cooperation work achieve new progress, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries.
Substantive cooperation between the two countries has many bright spots and new breakthroughs. Transport connections, especially standard gauge railway connections, have made breakthrough progress. Local cooperation and people-to-people exchanges have been vibrant.
Referring to the increasingly consolidated and developed cooperative relationship between the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his joy and highly appreciated the good results achieved in the exchange and cooperation activities between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in recent times.
At the same time, Mr. Do Van Chien hopes that in the coming time, the Chinese Embassy will continue to closely coordinate with relevant agencies of Vietnam to organize high-level delegation exchanges well, continue to pay attention to promoting substantive and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides, especially in the fields of economics, trade, investment, and transport connectivity; focus on implementing large, symbolic projects, with special attention to standard railway lines connecting the two countries...

The two sides actively expand cooperation in the field of science and technology so that this will become a new bright spot and new growth driver of Vietnam-China relations.
In addition, the two countries will further consolidate their social foundations, deepen cultural, educational and tourism cooperation; effectively implement the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year 2025 and activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations, considering this an opportunity to promote people-to-people exchanges and promote friendship.
The two sides promoted the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in promoting people-to-people and youth exchanges between the two countries; well oriented public opinion and the press, stepped up propaganda about the tradition of Vietnam-China friendly neighborliness, and consolidated a favorable social foundation for the development of bilateral relations.
Mr. Do Van Chien suggested that the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam continue to facilitate, support, and closely coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front to enhance exchanges and cooperation between the two agencies, at both central and local levels, especially in border localities; continuously expand the content and forms of specific and practical cooperation; encourage the Fatherland Front Committees, the CPPCC at all levels and member organizations of each side, especially socio-political organizations such as youth, women, and trade unions, etc. to enhance exchanges and cooperation.
Thanking the Vietnam Fatherland Front for its warm welcome, Ambassador Ha Vi respectfully conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning to Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien.
According to Ambassador Ha Vi, in recent times, Vietnam and China have achieved outstanding achievements in socio-economic development.
The two countries have formed outstanding economies, in which Vietnam has achieved many important results in bilateral economic, cultural and trade cooperation.
Appreciating the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in promoting the spirit of great solidarity and maintaining political stability, especially under the leadership of General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam has been and is carrying out the arrangement of the apparatus and administrative units, creating a premise for Vietnam to develop in the coming time. Ambassador Ha Vi hopes that in his position, he will receive close coordination from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, thereby contributing to concretizing the common perception between the senior leaders of the two parties and two countries, while promoting exchanges, cooperation and mutual understanding between the people of Vietnam and China.
