This morning, November 12, the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee held a ceremony to summarize and award the 2024 Golden Hammer and Sickle Award and an online contest to learn about the work "Resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption and negativity, contributing to building our Party and State increasingly clean and strong" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. 254,620 contest entries to learn about the works of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

The representative of the Provincial Party Committee Office said that the online contest to learn about the work "Resolutely and persistently fight against corruption and negativity, contributing to building our Party and State increasingly clean and strong" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, organized by the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, has achieved positive results.

After 4 weeks of competition, there were a total of 68,699 registered accounts with 254,620 entries. Of these, 2,585 registered accounts with 13,634 entries came from other localities across the country. Based on the rules and results of the competition, the organizing committee decided to award prizes to 20 weekly winners and 7 final winners.

The success of the contest has contributed to raising awareness, responsibility, and determination in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity; fighting and preventing all manifestations of ideological, political, moral, and lifestyle degradation, manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party; fighting and refuting erroneous and hostile views on the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity of our Party and State, contributing to building a clean and strong Party and political system.

15 works won the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award

At the award ceremony, a representative of the Department of Information and Communications said that after the launch, the organizing committee received 61 entries, including 4 photo reports, 13 television works, 8 radio works and 36 print and electronic newspaper works.

This year's entries adhered closely to the theme, with many works being carefully invested in and of high quality, attracting the attention of readers.

Many works have focused on promoting General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, focusing on developing party members among high school students, rejuvenating party members, creating conditions for admitting "party members at the age of 18", developing party organizations and party members in non-state enterprises...

This year's award continues to have the coordination between agencies, units with central and local press agencies to have quality works, winning high prizes, typical works such as: "Transferring digital arguments in learning theory, difficult problems and solutions from Quang Tri"; "Improving the status of women and children in ethnic minority areas"...

Of the 15 works awarded this time, print and online newspapers took up 8 awards. The works have rich content, diverse coverage, and cover many fields.

Many works delve into the topics of building grassroots party organizations and party members; the role of party committees as a decisive factor in building new rural areas, supporting and enhancing the role and position of women and children of ethnic minorities, promoting gender equality; the work of developing party members among high school students; the effectiveness of assigning party committees to attend party cell meetings in villages and hamlets...

Many groups of authors have not been afraid of difficulties, going to remote areas, borders and islands to collect documents, bringing impressive reports such as: "The kind heart of party members, veteran Ho Lo donated land to build schools"; "Square stars guarding the sea"; "Sacred salute to the New Year flag in Truong Sa"... These works have recorded touching images of the spirit of dedication of party members on the front line, as well as the people's affection for the Party.

At the ceremony, the organizing committee awarded 15 prizes (1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 7 consolation prizes and 2 secondary prizes) to the authors and groups of authors. In particular, the group of authors Thu Ha - Chau Minh won the first prize with the work "Digital transformation in learning theory, difficult problems and solutions from Quang Tri"; the group of authors Thu Thao - Nguyen Ngoc Bao Chau won the second prize with the work "Improving the status of women and children in ethnic minority areas"; the group of authors Vinh Nhien, Nguyen Bao, Le Nguyen Huong, Vinh Loc won the second prize with the work "Spreading Nguyen Phu Trong's ideology". The organizing committee also agreed to send 13 works to the Central level competition.

Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang highly appreciated the advisory work, the meticulous and careful preparation in the implementation of the award and contest organizing committee, the close and timely attention of the Party committees at all levels in the leadership and direction, with good and creative ways of doing things, to actively motivate, encourage and create conditions for cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers and journalists to participate in the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award and the contest to learn about the works of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

At the same time, congratulations to the winners of the two competitions and the authors with outstanding press works selected by the provincial competition organizing committee to participate in the 2024 National Press Award.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized: The press plays a particularly important role, being the voice of the Party, the State, of political-social and professional organizations, a trusted forum for the people, and at the same time a sharp weapon against hostile forces, fighting against negativity, and protecting the legitimate interests of the people.

Therefore, it is recommended that Party committees and authorities at all levels continue to create conditions for press agencies, professional and non-professional journalists to do a good job of communication, reflecting all aspects of social life and Party building work, especially new issues, difficult issues that have not been exploited, have practical value, create great spread, and positive social effects.

Focus on implementing well the work of Party building, especially in the field of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, contributing to promoting political stability, economic development, strengthening national defense and security and foreign affairs; and consolidating people's trust.

After the contest, Party committees at all levels continued to direct and organize the dissemination of the profound meaning of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's work to every cadre, party member, union member and association member in order to continue spreading the value and spirit of the work; creating a new, strong and drastic step forward to achieve greater effectiveness in the fight against corruption and negativity in the coming time.

In his closing speech, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ho Dai Nam hoped that Party committees and authorities at all levels would continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for cadres and Party members to participate in Party building and political system building competitions held inside and outside the province.
