Through the program "Quang Tri Newspaper's Compassionate Arms", this afternoon, April 8, Quang Tri Newspaper reporters visited and directly presented 1 million VND supported by a journalist working at Quang Tri Newspaper to Nguyen Hai Duyen, a 5A student at Cam Thuy Primary and Secondary School, Cam Lo District.

Hai Duyen is a studious, orphaned student with especially difficult circumstances, as reported in the "Addresses Needing Help" column of Quang Tri Newspaper.

Her family is among the poor households in the locality. Previously, Duyen lived with her disabled mother in a solidarity house built with support from the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and local authorities since 2014. Despite the extremely difficult circumstances, Duyen was very studious and was always an excellent student at school.

In early 2024, her mother passed away after a long battle with illness. Currently, Duyen is living with her elderly grandparents who have lost their ability to work. Sympathizing with and sharing the difficult circumstances of the poor, studious student, a journalist working at Quang Tri Newspaper sent his condolences, encouragement and 1 million VND to support her; hoping that Duyen will gradually overcome her adversity and continue to strive to excel in her studies and training.

It is known that after Nguyen Hai Duyen's situation was reflected in the "Address for help" column of Quang Tri Newspaper, many organizations and individuals directly visited, gave gifts and supported monthly scholarships to help Duyen stabilize her life, have more conditions to go to school, and become a good citizen for her family and society.
