Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Building sparkles in the international 3D mapping show night

(Dan Tri) - The 3D mapping art performance by representatives from 4 countries around the world brought to the people of Ho Chi Minh City and tourists a feast of sound and light that was extremely pleasing to the eye.

On the evening of April 19, thousands of people gathered in front of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee building to watch the international 3D mapping art program.

The program is part of the series of activities "Colors of Uncle Ho's City" , celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

"The 3D mapping art program with the participation of countries around the world is very spectacular, but the performance of the host Vietnam left me with many emotions mixed with national pride," shared Ms. Nguyen Phuong Trang (35 years old).

International 3D mapping technology demonstration with the participation of teams from France, Belgium, Singapore and host Vietnam.

The program uses 3D mapping projection technology - a technique that uses light and images to create 3D effects on an uneven surface, while helping image blocks in three-dimensional space interact with architectural objects, bringing about eye-catching visual effects.

The image of the water lion symbol Merlion appeared first in the performance of the representative from Singapore. Merlion is a beast with the head of a lion and the body of a fish riding on the waves.

With the work "Vietnam in me", the host team Vietnam brought an extremely impressive 3D mapping performance, taking the audience back in history - from the time our ancestors founded and defended the country to the country's construction today.

Inspired by the legend of Lac Long Quan - Au Co, the performance evokes pride in the Dragon Fairy race and national cultural traditions.

The country's important historical milestones such as the poem "Nam Quoc Son Ha" - the first declaration of independence, to Nguyen Trai's "Binh Ngo Dai Cao" - the heroic text affirming national sovereignty, are all recreated with great heroism. Especially the image of tanks entering the Independence Palace on April 30, 1975 symbolizes the victory of liberating the South and unifying the country (Photo: Nam Anh - Long Pham).

Some foreign tourists also watched the 3D mapping show on the evening of April 19.

"The art program combining music and light was very impressive, we both used our social media accounts to share images of this beautiful country with our friends and relatives back home," Gokhan Koyuncu (a Turkish tourist) shared.

The 3D mapping performance from the competing teams brought locals and tourists an extremely satisfying artistic feast.

  • In addition to the international 3D mapping art program, Bac City Colors also has many performing activities such as singing, dancing, folk music, traditional theater, sports performances... taking place on the nights of April 26, 29 and 30. In particular, the program also has a world record setting performance with a light formation performance using drone technology with 10,500 devices.
