During the visit, Most Venerable Thich Thien Thong informed about the merger and streamlining of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in An Giang province. The new Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in An Giang province was established on the basis of merging the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Kien Giang province (old) and the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in An Giang province (old). The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province has 2 levels (provincial level and the management board of the monasteries) in the spirit of a 2-level government.
