Messi's worrying condition

Messi is not in the best shape.

On August 2, Messi suffered an injury in the Leagues Cup group stage match against Necaxa and was forced to leave the field early in the 11th minute. He then missed the matches against Pumas UNAM and Orlando City SC.

The Argentine striker returned on August 17. He came on in the second half, scored a goal and added an assist as Inter Miami beat LA Galaxy 3-1 in MLS. However, coach Javier Mascherano confirmed that Messi was not feeling well and would be closely monitored.

"Leo doesn't train with the group, he has to train separately. This situation is similar to what I said after the match against LA Galaxy, when Leo felt uncomfortable during the 45 minutes on the pitch," Mascherano shared before the match.

Messi arrived at Chase Stadium with his teammates before kick-off, but dressed in casual clothes and will watch the match from the stands. Inter Miami are the current Leagues Cup champions, with Messi leading the team to the title last season.
