Nghe An Province launches Photo and Video Contest: Happy Nghe An - Happy Nghe An 2025

The contest aims to arouse love for the homeland, pride in the economic , cultural, social, natural and people achievements of Nghe An.

On the afternoon of July 14, the People's Committee of Nghe An province launched the photo and video contest "Nghe An happiness - Happy Nghe An 2025".

Attending the launching ceremony were comrades: Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Thi My Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST); Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the DOCSTST.

"Happy Nghe An - Happy Nghe An 2025" is chaired by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to discover and honor meaningful moments and stories about all aspects of political, economic, cultural and social life of Nghe An through photos and videos submitted by participating authors, thereby introducing and promoting the image of Nghe An to the world, a friendly and hospitable Nghe An, an Nghe An that is changing strongly.

The contest also aims to mobilize the combined strength of all classes of people in the country, the Vietnamese community abroad and international friends in communication work, promoting the image of the country and people of Nghe An to the world to affirm to the world that Nghe An is a peaceful, beautiful, dynamically developing locality.

This is also one of the practical and meaningful activities to welcome the 20th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Thi My Hanh hoped that through the photos and short video clips, each citizen and each young person can become an inspirational ambassador, contributing to introducing a dynamic, modern Nghe An but still imbued with its identity, an Nghe An where everyone can live, study, work and contribute in a safe, friendly and happy environment. Happiness sometimes exists in everyday moments, in every street corner, in the smile of a farmer on a bountiful harvest day, the eyes of a child going to school, the peace of the countryside, or the pride from innovative projects.

“Each citizen, tourist, artist, photographer, and reporter tells their own happy story about Nghe An - through the lens of images and videos to together preserve and spread beautiful, humane, and emotional moments,” said the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

With the support of media agencies, organizations, individuals and a large number of people who love Nghe An, comrade Tran Thi My Hanh believes that the contest will receive widespread response, creating a treasure trove of valuable images and videos, contributing to spreading the good values ​​of the people and homeland of Nghe An to domestic and international friends.

Entries must be created between January 1, 2023 and October 1, 2025. Submissions will be accepted between July 15, 2025 and October 1, 2025.

The Organizing Committee will select the best works to award First, Second and Third prizes for the two categories of photos and videos, and about 100 works that make it to the Final Round will be selected to display in an exhibition to serve the communication work on human rights at home and abroad in the coming time.
