On April 15, the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) branch in Vinh Long province held a meeting for the first quarter of 2025. Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the Board of Directors of the VBSP in Vinh Long province chaired the meeting.

According to the report, from the beginning of the year until now, the loan turnover of policy credit programs has reached 314 billion VND, with 6,543 poor and near-poor households and other policy beneficiaries receiving loans. According to the provincial Social Policy Bank, the total outstanding debt of policy credit programs implemented to date has reached 4,138 billion VND, an increase of 78 billion VND compared to the beginning of 2025. The whole province currently has 102,299 households with outstanding debt; on average, each household has outstanding debt of 40.5 million VND. As of March 31, 2025, the quality of policy credit activities in the whole province is considered good.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the Board of Directors of the Vinh Long Provincial Social Policy Bank highly appreciated the results of the Provincial Social Policy Bank and members of the Board of Directors in implementing social policy credit programs in the first months of the year. The Provincial Social Policy Bank has advised and ensured that capital is disbursed promptly to the right poor households and other policy beneficiaries.

In the upcoming task, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh requested that the VBSP continue to review the loan demand, ensure the policy credit capital for programs and projects approved by the Provincial People's Committee to be disbursed promptly and fully, to meet the loan demand of beneficiaries, contributing to increasing income and economic development.
