On the evening of December 10, before the match with SLNA in round 5 of V-League 2023-2024, Hanoi Club announced the contract extension with Do Hung Dung.
The old contract between Hung Dung and Hanoi FC will expire at the end of this year. After a period of negotiation, the two sides agreed to extend the contract for 3 years, until the end of 2026. Little Titi - Hung Dung's son - was taken to the field by his mother to congratulate his father.
The 30-year-old midfielder took a few moments to take souvenir photos with his son and share his feelings with fans before entering the match with his teammates.
Hung Dung grew up from the Hanoi FC youth training center. He was promoted to the first team of the capital team in 2016. Throughout the past time, Hung Dung has been an important factor in the midfield of Hanoi FC.
He contributed to helping the Hang Day team win 4 V-League championships, 3 National Cups and 4 National Super Cups.
Compared to his peak, the performance of the Vietnamese Golden Ball has declined in the past two years due to the impact of injuries. He is no longer used by coach Troussier in the last two matches of the Vietnamese team in the second qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.
However, at Hanoi Club, Hung Dung always has a starting position when he has no health problems.
In last night's match, Hung Dung continued to play in the starting lineup and helped Hanoi FC win 2-0 against SLNA. Striker Pham Tuan Hai and foreign player Denilson scored for the capital team.
This victory helped Hanoi FC rise to 9th place on the rankings with 6 points, 7 points behind the leading team Nam Dinh.
