Actively mobilize investment resources in agriculture

In recent times, the agricultural sector and localities in the province have focused on mobilizing resources to invest in agricultural development, ensuring jobs and increasing income for people.

In 2024, implementing agricultural and rural development programs, mechanisms and policies of the Central and the province, the agricultural sector has coordinated with localities to invest in transport infrastructure, internal irrigation, agricultural models, support for crop and livestock production... with a total allocated budget of about 667,811 billion VND. Based on the allocated capital sources, the agricultural sector and localities allocate public investment resources and national target programs in a timely manner and focus on removing difficulties and obstacles to create favorable conditions for people and businesses to invest in developing agricultural production for high economic efficiency.

In addition to the State's support capital, by November 2024, the whole province had called for and attracted 12 investment projects from enterprises in agriculture and rural areas with a total capital of 4,163.8 billion VND. Of which, some projects have large investment capital, such as: Thanh Hoa OSB bamboo board production factory project in Thiet Ong commune (Ba Thuoc) by Thanh Hoa staBOO Joint Stock Company, with a total project investment of 3,199 billion VND; Laminated wood processing factory project and wood products in Truong Lam commune (Nghi Son town) by Truong Hung Nghi Son Refined Wood Processing Company Limited, with a total project investment of 203 billion VND; Fruit juice production factory project in Ngoc Lien commune (Ngoc Lac) by Xuan Thien Thanh Hoa 2 Joint Stock Company, with a total investment of 500 billion VND...

Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) of Ngoc Lac district, Phan Thi Ha, said. Thanks to good investment promotion and favorable conditions, the district has attracted investors to implement large livestock and fruit juice processing projects in the area. Along with that, the department advises the district People's Committee to effectively implement policies to support the development of high-tech agriculture, develop cooperatives, and enterprises investing in the agricultural and rural sectors; support farmers to develop production, transform crop and livestock structures associated with new rural construction.

Attracting investment resources in various fields, from agricultural, forestry and fishery processing to high-tech agricultural projects, has gradually created breakthroughs in agricultural development. From there, gradually increasing productivity, crop and livestock output and enhancing the value of agricultural products, making them highly competitive in the market.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Duc Cuong, in the coming time, the agricultural sector will continue to effectively implement the mechanisms and policies of the Central and the province to create a breakthrough in agricultural development, such as: Mechanisms and policies to encourage restructuring of the agricultural sector; mechanisms and policies to support the production of crop and livestock varieties; policies to develop agriculture, rural areas and farmers; policies to encourage land accumulation and concentration... Along with that, the agricultural sector will integrate other capital sources of national target programs... to support the development of agricultural production. Encourage economic sectors to invest in agricultural and rural development; support farmers to develop production, convert crops and livestock associated with new rural construction. In the immediate future, the agricultural sector will focus on advising on the effective implementation of the goals, tasks and solutions according to Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2022 of the 13th Party Central Committee on agriculture, farmers and rural areas by 2030, with a vision to 2045; Decision No. 150/QD-TTg dated January 28, 2022 of the Prime Minister on approving the Strategy for sustainable agricultural and rural development for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050. At the same time, the sector will focus on advising on the development of programs and projects for agricultural development and new rural construction in the next stages, promptly submitting them to competent authorities for promulgation and implementation.
