(Dan Tri) - According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) of Quang Binh province, information about a strange virus that can invade the brain, causing children to have long-term fever and nausea is incorrect.
In recent days, information has been spreading on Facebook: " Dong Hoi is experiencing a strange viral fever in children (symptoms include prolonged mild fever and nausea). Hospitalized, doctors concluded that the strange viral fever can invade the brain, which is dangerous."
This information quickly spread, causing confusion for many parents in Quang Binh province, especially those with young children.

Regarding the above issue, Dr. Huynh Cong Hung, Head of the Department of Examination, Treatment of Tuberculosis, Lung Diseases and Prevention of Infectious Diseases, CDC Quang Binh, affirmed that this is false information, people should not be too worried.
Through the health sector's review, recently, in Quang Binh, there has only been one case of an elementary school student showing signs of fever and being taken to Hue Central Hospital by relatives for examination.
The doctor preliminarily diagnosed the child with viral encephalitis, a common disease in children. After receiving information about this case, the Quang Binh CDC monitored the living area and the school where the child attended but did not find any similar cases.
"The infectious disease situation in the area has not shown any unusual developments. Information about the appearance of a strange virus spreading online is just a rumor, without basis," Dr. Hung affirmed.
