During the 12 years since the two provinces: Dong Nai and Hyogo established a relationship through a Joint Statement (2013), Dong Nai has been an ideal destination for Japanese enterprises in general and Hyogo province in particular. At the meeting with local leaders, the two sides had discussions to enhance the comprehensive cooperation relationship in the fields of economy , services, tourism, etc.
Highly appreciate the investment environment in Dong Nai
Hyogo Prefecture is one of Japan's important economic centers, with strengths in advanced industries such as aerospace, robotics, healthcare , environment and energy, ports, services, and tourism.
In recent years, Dong Nai has attracted many enterprises to invest, operate production and business. In addition to the enterprises that have invested, Dong Nai province has also welcomed many Japanese enterprises to learn about the investment environment, including enterprises from Hyogo province.
Mr. Hattori Yohei, Deputy Governor of Hyogo Prefecture, commented: Dong Nai is currently an attractive destination not only for Hyogo Prefecture enterprises but also for Japanese enterprises. With the goal of developing many industrial parks and great incentives and support from provincial leaders, businesses have favorable conditions when investing and producing, making Dong Nai increasingly attractive.
Japan currently ranks third in foreign investment in Dong Nai with 288 projects and a total investment capital of 5.88 billion USD. Of these, 7 enterprises are from Hyogo province.
Deputy Governor Hattori Yohei highly appreciated the attention of Dong Nai provincial leaders who have always supported Hyogo provincial enterprises in the past time. At the same time, he hoped to continue receiving support from Dong Nai provincial leaders so that Hyogo provincial enterprises can operate, produce and do business smoothly in the future.
Hyogo Prefecture Deputy Governor Hattori Yohei emphasized: It is known that Dong Nai is expected to put Long Thanh International Airport into operation in 2026. This is a strategic project in terms of transportation as well as promoting economic development in the southern region of Vietnam. Therefore, many Japanese enterprises are looking to continue investing in Dong Nai.
Also participating in the meeting between leaders of Hyogo and Dong Nai provinces, Japanese Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Ono Masuo shared: Since 2013, after the Joint Statement of the two localities was signed, Dong Nai has attracted many Japanese enterprises to invest, including those from Hyogo province.
Mr. Ono Masuo hopes that in the coming time, the Dong Nai provincial government will continue to support and create favorable conditions for Japanese enterprises to operate production and business. Especially after the merger, Japan hopes that the new Dong Nai province will develop more and more strongly; and the relationship with Hyogo province will develop more and more closely. Recently, Kobe International Airport in Hyogo province has operated international flights. Mr. Ono Masuo hopes that after Long Thanh Airport comes into operation, Dong Nai and Hyogo will have direct flights. At that time, the connection between the two provinces will be further developed.
Ready to meet quality human resources
Currently, the demand for human resources for production and business in foreign-invested enterprises is increasing. Sharing about the above requirements, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh, Vice Principal of Lac Hong University (Tran Bien Ward), said: There are 5 universities in the province. Most of the students from these universities work in the province after graduation. Many students from Lac Hong University have gone to work for Japanese enterprises in the province after graduation.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh, in response to the increasing demand for human resources for Japanese enterprises, the school has recently opened a specialized training major to directly provide human resources for Japanese enterprises after graduation.
Currently, Lac Hong University has over 500 technology transfer projects for Japanese enterprises, contributing to improving the production process of enterprises. In the past, Japan has supported Dong Nai a lot, as well as the province's universities in training high-quality human resources. Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh hopes that this relationship will continue to be enhanced in the coming time. The school is always ready to connect and provide high-quality human resources when Japanese enterprises come to Dong Nai.
