Prime Minister requests strict control of imported goods via e-commerce

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed and issued Directive No. 29 on stimulating consumption, supporting production, business and developing the domestic market.

Accordingly, to promptly remove difficulties for production and business activities, To stimulate consumption, promote domestic market development, contribute to promoting growth, maintain macroeconomic stability, control inflation, and ensure major economic balances, the Prime Minister requested to focus on implementing solutions.

Promote domestic market

The Prime Minister requested that investment projects and works to create new production capacity be put into operation soon. Domestic markets should be opened up, and policies should be put in place to encourage consumption and investment in areas where domestic production has strengths and where domestic capacity and market demand exist.

Review and have policies to support domestic enterprises to participate in the supply chain of supporting industrial products of foreign-invested manufacturing and exporting enterprises in Vietnam.

In which, the Ministry of Industry and Trade promotes the implementation of solutions to connect manufacture With the distribution of goods, strengthen the linkage in the value chain of goods associated with good implementation of regulations on quality and food safety, forming purely Vietnamese goods linkage chains.

Encourage e-commerce platforms to sell Vietnamese products

Organize regional and national promotional programs, coordinate with localities to strengthen supply-demand connection activities, distribute OCOP products, bring goods to remote areas, industrial parks to stimulate domestic consumption.

Encourage the floors e-commerce operating in Vietnam implementing programs to consume domestically produced products and goods. Launching a movement to consume Vietnamese goods and local products.

Organize activities to promote regional linkages in e-commerce, cross-border e-commerce promotion activities with countries in the region and major import markets.

Support businesses related to trade defense investigations, origin fraud, technical barriers; handle backlogs in industrial product manufacturing projects; implement solutions to stabilize production, balance supply and demand of goods.

The Ministry of Finance directed to speed up procedures for disbursing funds to implement trade promotion programs of ministries, branches and localities to boost consumption of domestically produced goods.

Research on tight control solutions Imported goods through e-commerce in accordance with Vietnam's international commitments. Proposing tax policies for projects attracting investment in the production of goods to replace imported goods.

The State Bank of Vietnam prioritizes credit for production and business, the consumer sector, and increases lending for living and consumption purposes. Promotes lending through electronic and online forms; simplifies procedures for borrowing capital and consumer loans.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development connects and supports the consumption of agricultural products in concentrated production areas; promotes Green, clean production, ensuring food hygiene and safety. Promoting the opening of official agricultural export markets to neighboring markets such as China, negotiating to reduce the rate of animal and plant quarantine.

Localities remove difficulties in terms of premises to attract and expand investment in production and business of enterprises. Industry associations proactively grasp information, market demand, difficulties and obstacles of member enterprises in production and consumption of goods to promptly make recommendations.
