Yen So Ward: Showing gratitude to those with merit is a "measure of people's trust" in the government

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of Yen So Ward People's Committee Tran Thanh Nga expressed his emotion and pride when for the first time since its establishment, Yen So Ward organized a meeting to pay tribute to those who have devoted and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation. He affirmed that today's meeting has a very special meaning, marking the beginning of the journey to build a government "for the people, close to the people, respecting the people".

Proud of the 80-year tradition of the Capital and the country, Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Tran Thanh Nga said: Right on the heroic land of Yen So, many sons have fallen or left a part of their blood and bones for the Fatherland. In the ward, there are currently more than 130 policy beneficiaries and meritorious people, each number is a story, a life, a living proof of revolutionary heroism.

On this occasion, the City and Yen So Ward also presented gifts from the "Repaying Gratitude" Fund to express gratitude to "People with merit", expressing the affection, respect and pride of the Party Committee, government and people towards those who sacrificed and contributed to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Yen So Ward People's Committee Vu Tuan Dat expressed his admiration and emotion when witnessing many wounded soldiers and martyrs' relatives, despite their injuries and illnesses, still continuously contributing to their homeland. They are not only historical witnesses, but also tall trees and great trees, the fire that inspires today's young generation.

"Organizing the Conference to meet people with meritorious services is a vivid proof: Gratitude is not only expressed in words, but also in concrete actions, with the heart of responsibility of the leader towards the people. This is not only a duty but also a sentiment, a traditional morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" that the Party Committee and people of Yen So always preserve and promote," comrade Vu Tuan Dat shared.

Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Vu Tuan Dat said: The Yen So Ward Party Committee will continue to lead and direct the work of gratitude to become more and more in-depth, substantial and sustainable. The ward will mobilize the strength of the entire political system, promote the role of the two-level government, connect the community to better care for the lives of people with meritorious services.

At the meeting, ward leaders presented 130 gifts, worth 223 million VND, to meritorious families.
