Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia said: "VNA is a press agency with a 79-year tradition, always excellently completing the tasks entrusted by the Party, State and people. VNA journalists always closely follow the country's major and important events; present at events, fierce battlefields, with tools such as pens and cameras, with their strong will, brave enthusiasm and professionalism, they have recorded the heroic history of the country. More than 250 VNA journalists and soldiers have sacrificed, many reporters have also left a part of their bodies, on all battlefields, contributing to highlighting the heroic historical tradition of VNA".

In recent years, the fourth industrial revolution has placed press agencies, including VNA, in front of mission requirements that require journalists not only to be politically and professionally steadfast, but also to master science and technology to bring official and authentic information of Vietnam to friends around the world in the fastest way.

"I see that whether working at home or abroad, directly or indirectly, VNA journalists always make constant efforts to fulfill their duties as the national news agency, the main multimedia press agency," said comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia.

“In 2025, we will have many activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press and also the year of acceleration in all fields to complete the targets set by the 13th Party Congress. I hope that the team of revolutionary journalists will strive to study the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh, the founder of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press. Studying Uncle Ho will help each of us be more fully aware of the responsibility and duty of a writer, to always be dedicated to the assigned tasks. Comrades need to accurately, vividly and promptly reflect the policies and guidelines of the Party and State to the people and international friends. Besides, the press also needs to reflect the aspirations of the people to the Party and State and perform well the role of social supervision and criticism," Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia directed.

On this occasion, VNA introduced a new information page: Information page on protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against the false arguments of hostile forces (referred to as page 35). Building this page is one of the key tasks of the VNA Party Committee in 2024. The page has been focused on by VNA's information units and Technical Center and has just been completed in time for the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
