On Monday, May 5, 2025, pursuant to the provisions of law, the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam will solemnly open at the National Assembly House, Hanoi Capital.

In the past time, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Government, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Secretary General of the National Assembly, the Council of Nationalities, the Committees of the National Assembly, the National Assembly delegations, the National Assembly deputies, the National Assembly Office and relevant agencies, organizations and individuals have urgently prepared the contents to be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and decision at the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Before the opening session, at 7:15 a.m., leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and National Assembly deputies laid wreaths and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

At 8:00 a.m., the National Assembly held a preparatory meeting. At the meeting, National Assembly deputies listened to the speech of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and listened to National Assembly Standing Committee member Le Quang Tung present a report on the reception, explanation, and revision of the proposed program of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Then, the National Assembly discussed and voted to approve the program of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

At 9:00 a.m. the same day, the National Assembly held the Opening Session of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly at Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly House. The Opening Session was broadcast live on Vietnam Television (VTV1) and Voice of Vietnam (VOV1).
