Within the framework of the 53rd Annual SGATAR Summit held in Seoul, South Korea from October 29 to 31, 2024, Director General of the General Department of Taxation Mai Xuan Thanh had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Wang Daoshu - Deputy Director General, China Tax Administration.

At the meeting, Director General of the General Department of Taxation Mai Xuan Thanh expressed his gratitude to Deputy Director General of the Chinese Tax Administration - Mr. Wang Daoshu - for your support for Vietnam's requests for information exchange verification.

Recently, a large number of letters requesting verification of the existence of Chinese enterprises investing and doing business in Vietnam sent to the Chinese Tax Authority have contributed to strengthening tax cooperation between the two countries.

Proposing at the meeting, General Director of the General Department of Taxation Mai Xuan Thanh wished to establish an exchange channel between the General Department of Taxation of Vietnam and the Chinese Tax Authority to exchange and share experiences in tax management and digital transformation in China.

Respectfully requesting the request of General Director of the General Department of Taxation Mai Xuan Thanh, Deputy Director General Wang Daoshu sent an invitation to the representative of the General Department of Taxation of Vietnam to attend the Seminar on tax management and digital transformation organized by the Chinese Tax Administration in November 2024.

Deputy Director General Wang Daoshu said that there will soon be an official invitation for Director General Mai Xuan Thanh to visit and work at the Chinese Tax Administration in the near future, and affirmed that the Chinese Tax Administration will increase experience sharing and exchange with the Vietnamese General Department of Taxation on the topic of digitalizing tax management.

At the meeting, Deputy Director General Wang Daoshu also expressed his hope that the Vietnamese Tax Authority would continue to pay attention to and support Chinese enterprises investing in Vietnam to better understand current tax laws and Vietnamese tax compliance, thereby creating the most favorable conditions for investment, production and business cooperation of Chinese enterprises in Vietnam.
