On the evening of January 12, at Dong Ho Garden, Ward 12, District 10 (Ho Chi Minh City), the art program "Singing with the homeland" officially took place. Attending the event were Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Bui Thi Quynh Van; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cao Phuc; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Vo Thanh An; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Commission Lu Ngoc Binh; Head of the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of the province Ha Hoang Viet Phuong; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, agencies, units, localities...

Also attending the program were representatives of the Quang Ngai Association in Ho Chi Minh City and clubs that are members of the program's Organizing Committee; and Quang Ngai businessmen. In particular, thousands of Quang Ngai people living and studying in Ho Chi Minh City and tourists came to watch and enjoy the program.

In particular, through 3 main chapters directed by director Nguyen Thai Huan, including: "My hometown is so beautiful"; "Dream of a new land - Looking back to my motherland"; "Love of people and country is so beautiful". Through each chapter, famous and beloved artists and singers today, such as: Meritorious Artist Hong Van, Ho Quynh Huong, Nguyen Phi Hung, Huynh Loi, Nguyen Han, Le Hong... performed special singing, dancing and music performances, leaving many special emotions for the audience. Some artists and artisans from their hometown of Quang Ngai also brought singing, dancing and music performances, attractive and vibrant gong fights performed for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City.

The first "Quang Ngai Countryside Colors" program in 2024 is jointly organized by the Quang Ngai Association of Fellow Countrymen, Quang Ngai Business Club, Love Connection Club, Returning to My Hometown - Quang Ngai Club, Quang Ngai Student Club in Ho Chi Minh City... and Quang Ngai Newspaper.

Speaking at the art program, Chairman of the Quang Ngai Business Club in Ho Chi Minh City, Head of the Organizing Committee of the program "Quang Ngai's Countryside Colors" Nguyen Van Binh emphasized that the program has many activities but only one message, which is to convey love, bring the homeland into everyone's heart, and bring people closer together. What the Organizing Committee wants and affirms is that Quang Ngai people, wherever they are, are united, loving, know how to share and help each other.

The organizers want to create a healthy cultural space, serving Quang Ngai people far from home and connecting more hearts that love Quang Ngai; strengthening the connection of the Quang Ngai community in Ho Chi Minh City; promoting the image of the homeland to tourists from other provinces, cities and international friends.

The oil painting "Lep Tren Vi O Lac Pass" by People's Artist Tra Giang was successfully auctioned for 250 million VND.

The natural agarwood item named “Ngôn yen” crafted by Binh Nghia Agarwood Company and connected by Quang Ngai Newspaper was successfully auctioned for 720 million VND.

The pearl necklace that Ms. Tran Thi Lam, founder of Hoa Lam Group, Vietbank, Gia An 115 Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) was given by an individual and successfully auctioned for 100 million VND.

With that meaning, the Organizing Committee awarded 20 scholarships, each worth 2 million VND, taken from the Nguyen Thai Binh Scholarship Fund of Thanh Nien Newspaper to Quang Ngai new students who have overcome difficulties and studied well. At the same time, the Organizing Committee also awarded 20 scholarships, each worth 2 million VND to poor students who have overcome difficulties and studied well in Quang Ngai province, the funding was taken from the program "Scholarship to support ethnic minority students and poor students" founded by former Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and transferred to Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper to receive and manage.

The program also successfully auctioned valuable items. Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Tien Dung received the model of the water bank, a symbol of the memory of Quang Ngai people, handed over to the province by the Organizing Committee of the first Quang Ngai Homeland Color Program.

With the great influence of the program, Ms. Tran Thi Lam supported the budget to give more than 500 gifts, each worth 500 thousand VND, to people in Son Tinh and Tra Bong districts.

The total amount of money raised at the art program “Singing with the homeland” was more than 1.8 billion VND. All funds were used to organize bus trips for poor people in Quang Ngai to return home for Tet and many other charity programs.

At the program, the Organizing Committee presented a model of the water bank, a symbol of the memory of Quang Ngai people, to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The model was made by artisan Mai Van Quyt, in Tinh An Tay commune (Quang Ngai city) and was purchased by the Organizing Committee for 150 million VND. At the same time, the Organizing Committee also presented 7 Tet charity buses, worth more than 200 million VND, to people and students in difficult circumstances to return home for Tet.

Speaking at the program, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan emphasized that many years ago, the Quang Ngai Association in Ho Chi Minh City and the Quang Ngai Business Club in Ho Chi Minh City were established and had many meaningful activities; demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and affection of Quang Ngai people.
