These days, workers and engineers are busy working on the project, determined to complete the final stages of a series of key projects.

Component 3 project of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway. The construction volume has reached over 95%, the entire route has been paved with asphalt, installed with median strips and drainage system. The goal of technical traffic opening on April 30 is being accelerated day by day.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Danh, Deputy Director of the Regional Traffic Project Management Board and the Agricultural Sector (investor), said: Currently, the entire route maintains 15 major construction sites, focusing on completing fences, anti-glare panels, overpasses, and road surfaces. 11 bridges on the route are also being deployed simultaneously, of which 7 bridges are constructing piers, girder supports, and pouring concrete; the remaining 4 bridges have entered the completion stage.

Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway has a total length of nearly 54km, with a total investment of more than 17,800 billion VND, of which Ba Ria - Vung Tau province is the investor of the 19.5km long component project 3. The technical opening on April 30 not only has important political significance but also helps to effectively connect industrial parks and large port clusters such as Cai Mep - Thi Vai, shortening the time to transport goods to Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta region.

Along with the expressway, the coastal route DT994 is also being upgraded and expanded at a rapid pace. This vital route connects coastal resorts, seaports and industrial parks from Vung Tau City to Binh Thuan, contributing to exploiting the province's tourism and logistics strengths. Many important sections and Cua Lap 2 Bridge will be completed before April 30.

The Thuy Van road renovation project is also entering the final stage. The project has a total investment of more than 1,094 billion VND, is 3.2 km long, started in October 2024 and is currently under construction day and night to be completed before April 27. When completed, the road will give a new look to the coastal city and serve major events on the occasion of April 30 - May 1.

Continue to speed up the progress of traffic opening before April 30

To ensure the technical traffic progress before the April 30 holiday, contractors continue to mobilize maximum machinery, equipment and human resources, organize construction "3 shifts, 4 teams" continuously day and night, even during the holidays. The project management board strengthens close monitoring of the construction site, regularly inspects and urges progress, promptly resolves difficulties and problems arising during the implementation process. Relevant departments, branches and localities also closely coordinate in technical support, construction supervision, ensuring compliance with the design and technical standards. In particular, labor safety, fire prevention and fighting, and environmental sanitation are always focused on and strictly controlled to ensure safe and effective construction, bringing the project to the finish line on schedule, with quality, promptly serving the travel needs during the big holidays.

Cua Lap 2 Bridge, part of the Vung Tau-Binh Thuan coastal road project, is striving to be completed by April 2025.

Recently, the Minister of Construction sent a telegram to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, requesting the registration of projects to be started and inaugurated on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South. Localities need to complete legal procedures and prepare technical conditions to organize an online ceremony connecting nationwide on April 26.

According to Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Tho, key transport projects are strategic driving forces for the province's socio-economic development. Therefore, construction units mobilize maximum human resources and equipment; closely coordinate with departments, branches and localities; ensure progress, quality, labor safety and environmental sanitation, and complete the project as committed.
