On December 12, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations organized a workshop on consulting, reviewing and social appraisal on "Assessing the current situation and proposing policy solutions to increase the use of organic fertilizers in agricultural and forestry production in the province".

Overview of the workshop

At the workshop, delegates highly appreciated the results achieved in the process of agricultural and forestry development in the province, especially the impact of the mechanisms and policies of the province and the Central Government on the development of agriculture and forestry in general and the use of organic fertilizers in particular. Opinions also focused on clarifying the difficulties, challenges and negative impacts of the excessive use of inorganic fertilizers in agricultural and forestry cultivation; at the same time, analyzing and evaluating objectively and scientifically the current situation and use of organic fertilizers in agricultural and forestry production; forecasting opportunities, potentials and challenges; thereby proposing solutions, mechanisms and policies to enhance the development, production and use of organic fertilizers in agricultural and forestry production for the next stage, exploiting and taking advantage of advantages and opportunities to serve the development of sustainable and safe agriculture in the province.

Through the workshop, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations has more information, scientific basis, and practical basis to synthesize and build a report summarizing the tasks and building a recommendation document to the competent agencies and levels to contribute to the stable and sustainable development of the province's agriculture in the coming time.
