The City Police Director acknowledged and commended the Captain's sense of responsibility and bravery in "forgetting oneself for the country and serving the people" while performing his duties of ensuring security and order, contributing to maintaining a peaceful life for the people.
On this occasion, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung directly presented a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee to Captain Le Dinh Cong for his outstanding achievements in ensuring security and order to serve the activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

She affirmed that this is a great source of motivation for the family and Captain Le Dinh Cong himself to be steadfast, strive to overcome difficulties, focus on treatment, and recover quickly.

Previously, as reported by Hanoi Moi Newspaper, at around 8:10 p.m. on August 21, Nguyen Ba Hoai Nam (born in 2007, residing in Phuc Thinh Commune, Hanoi) drove a motorbike carrying Nguyen Van Quan (born in 2007, residing in Tien Thang Commune, Hanoi) at high speed on Nghi Tam Street towards Au Co. At that time, Hanoi City Police forces were on duty to ensure security and safety on the route for the rehearsal of the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.
Discovering two subjects with dangerous behavior, affecting the parade formation, the march and the safety of the people, Captain Le Dinh Cong and the working group on duty at the guard post in front of 336A Nghi Tam (Hong Ha ward) signaled to stop the vehicle. However, the subjects did not comply and drove straight into comrade Le Dinh Cong, causing him and both subjects to fall onto the road. The task force quickly controlled and arrested the subjects and took comrade Le Dinh Cong to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Currently, the City Police Director has directed professional units to urgently investigate, consolidate records, and promptly bring the subjects to strict handling according to the provisions of the law.
