Born in 1992 in Dong Kinh commune, Ha Tinh province, Le Xuan Thang was a healthy, active boy with a dream of becoming a teacher. The peaceful life of the teenager at that time revolved around studying, helping his parents and playing with friends in the fields. But right at the time of his youth full of aspirations, an incident changed everything.

In 2007, when he was just 15 years old, Thang suddenly had a bicycle accident. That seemingly simple fall damaged his spinal cord, leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. After just one night, the young man lost the ability to move normally.

During the darkest days, his parents were his support. “As long as you try your best, your parents will take care of your future” - his mother's encouragement became a source of strength that helped Thang persevere in training, learn to use a wheelchair, and then return to school.

After graduating from high school, Thang chose to major in Pharmacy with the desire to support people's health. Studying far from home and having to fight illness, but with perseverance, Thang completed his studies and returned home to open a small pharmacy.

Not only did Thang revive himself, he also established the Ich Hau charity group, gathering many young people in the area to donate, visit families with meritorious services, and support the needy.

During that journey, Thang also found love. His current wife, Ho Thi Anh, came to him through charity trips. Despite health barriers, Anh chose to stick with her husband and build a small home.

“I love his personality, not his appearance or disability. What matters is that he loves me and my family. I never thought I chose the wrong person,” Ms. Anh said.

After stabilizing his life, Thang actively participated in Youth Union activities, wearing the green volunteer shirt. In 2024, Le Xuan Thang was honored by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union in the program "Shining Vietnamese Willpower 2024" for his efforts and contributions to the community.

In the program “Love Station”, Le Xuan Thang will share his courageous journey, inspiring those facing adversity, so that they believe that every difficult journey can be overcome with faith and determination.
