"Unprecedented" event, all universities and colleges hold opening ceremonies on September 5

A rare event in the history of Vietnamese education will take place on September 5, when all universities and vocational education institutions, from public to non-public, will simultaneously hold opening ceremonies on the same day as preschool and general education.

This is a special highlight of the 2025-2026 school year, creating a jubilant and exciting opening school atmosphere across the country.

The event has a "double" meaning, both welcoming the new school year and celebrating the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training ), marking a long journey of development of the country's education.

The opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year will be held at the National Convention Center, Hanoi , at 8:00 a.m. on September 5. The event will be broadcast live on VTV1 and connected online to all educational institutions nationwide, from kindergarten to university.

In previous years, universities and colleges often took the initiative to organize opening ceremonies at their own time. However, this year, this simultaneous event not only demonstrated the unity and determination of the entire industry but also created a special mark.
