Division 301 (Hanoi Capital Command) plays a core role in missions

As the main unit of the Hanoi Capital Command, Division 301 is responsible for training, combat readiness (SSCD), coordinating with other units to protect the safety of key targets, important political events of the Party, State, and Army taking place in Hanoi; ready to participate in preventing, combating, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, catastrophes, rescue, and carrying out other urgent tasks.

Based on the requirements and tasks of protecting the Fatherland, protecting the capital Hanoi , and building the Army in the new situation, in recent years, the Party Committee and the Division's commanders have led and directed the unit to comprehensively complete its tasks, many tasks have been excellently completed, and have been recognized, commended, and highly appreciated by leaders at all levels, especially in training, combat readiness, and mass mobilization work.

The Division regularly leads and directs agencies and units to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the directives and orders of the superiors; strictly maintain the discipline and regime of the SSCD duty at all levels according to regulations. Organize reconnaissance of targets; proactively develop, adjust, supplement and deploy training to master plans; organize mobility, conceal forces and means; ensure safety of political events taking place in the capital Hanoi. Annual inspections by superiors always assess that the Division is capable of completing tasks when situations arise.

The Party Committee and the Division Commander also thoroughly grasped the Party's military and defense viewpoints and guidelines; resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on training work, directly Resolution No. 44-NQ/TW dated November 24, 2023 of the 13th Party Central Committee on the Strategy for National Defense in the new situation, Resolution No. 1659-NQ/QUTW dated December 20, 2022 of the Central Military Commission on improving the quality of training in the 2023-2030 period and the following years; Resolution No. 1316-NQ/DU dated February 28, 2023 of the Party Committee of the Hanoi Capital Command on leadership in improving the quality of training in the 2023-2030 period and the following years; training tasks and combat readiness of the unit; military and defense work orders and annual training instructions to 100% of officers and soldiers in the unit.

The Party Committee and the Division Commander regularly pay attention to and direct agencies and units to compete in doing well the preparation of training grounds, training grounds, training materials and promote the promotion of initiatives and improvements in teaching models applied to training and combat readiness. At the same time, thoroughly grasp the idea that "Cadres are the root of all work" - the quality of cadres determines the unit's ability to complete tasks. Up to now, 100% of the Division's cadres have been trained according to the hierarchy, with 75% or more being good and excellent, of which over 35% are excellent, contributing significantly to improving the quality of training and combat readiness of the unit.

During the training process, the Division adhered to the motto of “Basic, practical, solid”, and at the same time implemented well the motto of “superiors teach subordinates, commanders teach units”, the cadres had a lot of experience, the training method for cadres with limited experience, especially platoon cadres, young cadres who had just graduated. Thanks to that, in recent years, 100% of the training results of all subjects met the requirements, with over 75% being good and excellent; in which, training of new soldiers was excellent, training of recruited professional soldiers, and mobilization of reserve forces was on schedule, ensuring quality.

The Division also organizes and participates in competitions and sports events at all levels, always achieving high rankings. The organization of exercises at all levels is quite good in terms of tactics, good in terms of techniques, ensuring absolute safety in all aspects. Notably in 2024, the Division successfully completed the task of participating in the Hanoi City Defense Area Exercise (HN-24), which was recognized, commended, and highly appreciated by the Head of the Ministry of National Defense and the leaders of Hanoi City.

In addition, the Division actively and effectively participated in the emulation movement "Hanoi Capital's army and militia join hands to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", the campaign "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind". During the 2020-2025 term, the Division closely coordinated with local Party committees and authorities in Hanoi to organize 8 outdoor training campaigns combined with mass mobilization work with many meaningful and practical contents and tasks such as: Talking about current events, cultural and sports exchanges; renovating village roads and alleys, repairing martyrs' cemeteries, visiting and giving gifts to policy beneficiaries, "Repaying gratitude" activities...

In particular, in 2021, when the Covid-19 pandemic was complicated, the Division mobilized hundreds of vehicles and thousands of officers and soldiers to wholeheartedly care for, transport, and serve over 2,000 citizens in 15 trips at the unit and facilities for receiving and treating Covid-19 patients in Hanoi...

The practical and specific actions of the Division's officers and soldiers have contributed to building a "people's heart position", strengthening solidarity and attachment with the Party Committee, government and people, building a strong political system at the grassroots level; at the same time, educating and training to improve the political capacity, spirit and responsibility in carrying out mass mobilization work for officers and soldiers in the unit. Thereby, contributing to beautifying the image and qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the cultural beauty of "Capital soldiers" in the hearts of the people.

With outstanding results in training, combat readiness and mass mobilization in Hanoi, Division 301 was honored to receive many noble awards from the State, the Ministry of National Defense, the Hanoi Capital Command...

Notably, in 2024, the Division was honored to receive the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal from the President. This is an honor, pride and also an important premise for the officers and soldiers of the Division to continue the heroic tradition, constantly improve the overall quality, combat strength, excellently complete assigned tasks, continue to enhance the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the cultural beauty of "Capital soldiers" in the new era.
