Techcombank boss sells 400,000 shares, estimated to earn 10 billion VND

Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( Techcombank - HoSE: TCB) has just reported on the results of trading shares/certificates/covered warrants of insiders and people related to insiders to the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange.

Accordingly, Mr. Phan Thanh Son - Deputy General Director of Techcombank has completed selling 400,000 TCB shares by order matching on the floor in the period from September 13 to October 1, 2024.

Before the transaction, Mr. Son owned more than 4.15 million shares, equivalent to nearly 0.059% of the bank's capital. After the transaction, the number of shares owned by Mr. Son decreased to 3.75 million, equivalent to 0.053% of the capital at Techcombank.

It is estimated that according to the closing price of TCB shares on October 1, which was VND24,650/share, Mr. Son earned more than VND9.86 billion from selling 400,000 shares.

Over the past month, TCB shares have increased by 7.02% compared to the reference price of VND22,800/share. The average trading volume is 17.7 million units/day. At the end of the session on October 8, TCB shares increased by 1.04% compared to the previous session to VND24,400/share with a trading volume of more than 16.2 million units.

Last August, Techcombank announced the list of shareholders holding more than 1% of the bank's charter capital.

Accordingly, as of July 17, 2024, the bank has 13 shareholders holding about 1.63 billion shares, equivalent to nearly 52.3% of the bank's capital. Including 6 institutional shareholders and 7 individual shareholders.

On the institutional shareholder side, Masan Group Corporation of the bank's Vice Chairman Nguyen Dang Quang is currently the unit that owns the most shares with more than 524 million shares, equivalent to 14.885% of the bank's capital.

Related persons of this Group also own 9.4 million shares, accounting for 0.26%. In total, Masan and related persons are holding 15.15% of capital at the bank.

On the individual shareholder side, Techcombank Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Ho Hung Anh, is holding 39.3 million shares, equivalent to 1.116% of the bank's capital.

People related to Mr. Hung Anh also own more than 661.4 million shares, accounting for 18.78%. The total ownership ratio of Mr. Hung Anh and related people is nearly 19.9%.
