There will be 1 million social housing apartments for low-income earners and industrial park workers in the period 2021 - 2030.

The People's Committee of Quang Tri province has just issued a Plan to implement the Project "Investing in the construction of at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021 - 2030" in the province.

The plan aims to develop social housing and worker housing at prices suitable for the affordability of middle-income and low-income households in urban and rural areas and of workers and laborers in industrial parks.

At the same time, encourage economic sectors to develop housing to create conditions for everyone to have accommodation according to the market mechanism, meeting all people's needs, and at the same time have policies to support housing for social policy beneficiaries, low-income people and the poor who have housing difficulties to contribute to ensuring social security.

Specifically, Quang Tri province aims to complete about 9,094 social housing units in the province by 2030. Of which, about 2,310 units will be completed in the 2021-2025 period; about 6,784 units will be completed in the 2025-2030 period.

To achieve the set goals, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province also proposed a number of solutions, such as: perfecting institutions and policies on housing; solutions on planning and land fund development; improving the capacity to develop social housing according to projects; developing social housing according to housing development plans; solutions on capital sources and taxes; solutions to develop the real estate market and reform administrative procedures and investment procedures.
