This event is part of the Exhibition & Experience Week "The Quintessence of Thanh Lieu Woodblocks" and the launch of the "Nhu Lai Ung Hien Do" woodblock, performed by Dieu Tuong Am, a unit operating in the field of design and arrangement of Buddhist cultural spaces.
The event took place in the Dieu Tuong Am Buddhist Cultural and Art Space (opposite Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh City), attracting the participation of Venerable monks and nuns, artisans of craft villages, cultural researchers, traditional art collectors, a large number of Buddhists and lovers of traditional art.

The woodblock “Nhu Lai Ung Hien Do” is a reconstruction based on ancient 19th century carvings, carved and printed in the 10th year of Tu Duc (1857). The sutra is 36 cm x 29 cm in size, including 88 pages, 41 drawings of the manifestations of Tathagata from birth to Buddhahood. Below each drawing is an explanation of the Buddha's story. The paintings in Nhu Lai Ung Hien Do are often used to create reliefs in pagodas and monasteries.

The restored woodblock, made by artisan Nguyen Cong Dat and a group of artisans from Thanh Lieu woodblock village (Hai Duong), recreates the image of Buddha's birth with one hand pointing to the sky and the other to the ground - a classic symbol in East Asian Buddhist art.

In addition to the exhibition, the event also offers visitors the opportunity to experience woodblock printing using traditional manual methods – on Vietnamese dó paper. This is one of the attractions that attracts many young people, creative people and cultural researchers to admire and interact.
The exhibition is open to the public from May 4 to 12 (April 15 of the lunar calendar), at the Dieu Tuong Am Buddhist Cultural and Art Space - 382 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City (opposite Vinh Nghiem Pagoda).
