Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh is the successor of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment. Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha was approved by the National Assembly to be relieved of his position as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment early this afternoon.

Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh (born in 1976), from Ha Tinh. He is a PhD in Urban and Construction Management, Civil and Industrial Engineering; advanced level of political theory.

Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh is a member of the Party Central Committee for two terms (XII - alternate, XIII); National Assembly delegate for the XIV and XV terms.

Growing up as a specialist in the Appraisal Department, he worked for many years at the Department of Construction of Ha Tinh province.

After that, Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh successively held important leadership positions in Ha Tinh province such as: Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

In July 2019, the Politburo assigned Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh to hold the position of Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee until now.
