Many outstanding achievements

Quang Ninh Department of Education and Training said that in the 2024-2025 school year, 100% of the school year's targets were achieved and exceeded. Of which, the rate of schools meeting national standards reached 92.07%, and is expected to reach 92.5% or more by the end of 2025; maintaining a steady rate of 100% of children studying 2 sessions/day, universalizing preschool education for 5-year-old children; the rate of primary school students studying 2 sessions/day reached 100%.

The quality of universalizing lower secondary education from level 2 to level 3 was achieved ahead of schedule; along with 10 provinces and cities nationwide that achieved the earliest universalization of lower secondary education at level 3 (the highest level).

In particular, in the 2025 national high school student selection exam, Quang Ninh province won 88 prizes (an increase of 3 prizes compared to the previous year and also the highest ever); firmly maintaining its ranking of 8th out of 63 provinces and cities (old) with the highest number of prizes nationwide; 1 student won a Bronze Medal in the International Olympiad for Informatics, 1 student won a Silver Medal in the Abu Rayhan - Biruni International Chemistry Olympiad 2025.

The high school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year was organized safely, seriously, and objectively with the average entrance exam score rate or higher reaching 68.46%.

The 2025 high school graduation exam in Quang Ninh province took place safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations with an average score of 6.19 points; ranked 12th out of 34 new provinces and cities; ranked 13th out of 63 (old) provinces and cities, up 12 places compared to 2024.

Implementing the tasks of the 2025-2026 school year, the provincial Department of Education and Training aims to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of education.

Continue to innovate and improve the quality of preschool education, general education, vocational education and continuing education.

Ensure equality in access to quality education for learners; develop a team of teachers and educational institution managers to meet the requirements of educational and training innovation.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, praised the outstanding achievements that the Education and Training sector has achieved in the past school year.

Regarding the 2025-2026 school year, Ms. Hanh requested that the provincial Department of Education and Training and communes, wards, special zones and educational institutions must always identify education as the top national policy.

Communes, wards and special economic zones need to lead and direct the removal of difficulties, create conditions for educational institutions to best perform their tasks, and create motivation for educational competition among localities.

Review and rationalize the network of educational facilities in accordance with the operation of two-level government. Effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program; ensure the nurturing, care and education of children to meet the requirements of the Preschool Education Program; consolidate and firmly maintain the results of universal education and illiteracy eradication at the highest level.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Education and Training to direct the selection of a number of key subjects to build the learning brand of Quang Ninh province; discover and nurture talents; pay attention to creating a strong push for foreign languages; improve the quality of private education, creating positive changes.

Educational institutions must strengthen education on revolutionary ideals, political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; ensure school safety; prevent and combat epidemics, law violations, injuries, and drowning among students.

At the same time, continue to tighten discipline and order; resolutely handle violations if any; manage revenue and expenditure publicly, transparently, and in accordance with regulations; effectively implement emulation movements throughout the industry, discover, commend and replicate examples of good people and good deeds...

Provincial leaders also noted that immediately after this conference, the education and training sector must prepare well for the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year to take place simultaneously across the country.
