The Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones Trade Union has 75 affiliated grassroots trade unions, most of which are in non-state enterprises. In practice, the work of developing party members in enterprises in this area faces difficulties due to objective and subjective reasons. Many enterprises do not have grassroots party organizations; employers are not really interested in and cooperative; workers and laborers have little time to participate in party and union activities due to the nature of their work; some are reluctant to study and practice; some grassroots trade unions where there are party organizations have not done a good job of advising the Party Committee in creating sources for developing party members in the unit...

Determining the role and responsibility of the Trade Union organization and from the practical and specific activities of enterprises, the Trade Union of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks has had solutions to gradually overcome difficulties and improve the quality and quantity of Party members in enterprises.

Focus on disseminating to workers the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, raising awareness of the Party and the right spirit of striving to join the Party, strengthening political and ideological education, and the spirit of self-awareness to strive to become Party members.

Sharing with reporters, Mr. Pham Thai Duong - Chairman of the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones Trade Union - said that in 2023, the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones Trade Union will coordinate to open a political theory training course for 30 trainees who are union officials and excellent union members of affiliated grassroots unions. According to the plan, the trade union and the Party cell where the workers work will continue to train and help; for places where there is no Party organization, the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones Trade Union Party Cell will directly guide, strive to introduce and admit 10 union members into the Party in 2024.

In addition, the Dung Quat Economic Zone Trade Union and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones have joined the Steering Committee for building Party and mass organizations in the non-state sector of the province to directly propagate and mobilize the establishment of Party and mass organizations; combining propaganda and mobilization of business owners who are not yet Party members to introduce and consider admitting them to the Party. This is a good way to demonstrate the responsibility and promote the role of the Trade Union in developing Party members who are workers.

Mr. Nguyen Phuc Nhan - Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial Labor Federation said that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation and the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc have signed a coordination plan.

At the same time, the emulation target is assigned to each grassroots union to introduce at least 1 outstanding union member to the Party. In 2023, unions at all levels in the province introduced over 1,520 outstanding union members to the Party Committee, reaching 125% of the assigned target and nearly 1,100 union members were admitted to the Party. Many units have done well in this work such as the Labor Federation of Quang Ngai City, Duc Pho Town and Tu Nghia, Mo Duc, Provincial Civil Servants' Union, etc.
