The average GRDP growth rate (2010 comparative prices) for the 5 years 2020-2025 is expected to be about 3.3%; The economic scale in 2025 is expected to be nearly 136.4 trillion VND, an increase of nearly 38 trillion VND compared to 2020... However, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Le Van Dung, said that limitations in infrastructure and human resource quality are still barriers, affecting the sustainable development process. The rate of trained workers is still low, while digital transformation and infrastructure have not kept up with the local development speed.

Faced with this challenge, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province recently organized a workshop on "Innovating strategic breakthrough tasks for rapid and sustainable development of Quang Nam province", with the participation of many experts, scientists, and businesses. At the workshop, experts made many recommendations, emphasizing the transformation of the growth model towards the direction of science, technology, high-quality human resources, and innovation... In addition, Quang Nam needs to focus on developing a modern urban infrastructure system, while promoting a creative startup environment and ensuring conditions for businesses to apply science and technology.

Architect Ngo Viet Son Nam, Chairman of NgoViet Architects & Planners, believes that Quang Nam should focus on developing the coastal urban economy, connecting with the dynamic urban axis of the Central region from Hue to Quang Ngai. He also emphasized the importance of preserving and developing the heritage complex of Hoi An - Dien Ban - My Son - Cu Lao Cham, in order to build a chain of typical tourist urban areas in the Central region.

Previously, the Quang Nam Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030 and vision to 2050 was approved by the Prime Minister in January 2024, with specific goals: achieving an average GRDP growth rate of more than 8% per year and making Quang Nam an important growth pole of the Central - Central Highlands region. These ambitious goals demonstrate Quang Nam's determination to transform itself, ready for a period of rapid, strong and sustainable development.
