Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen inspected the project of the storm shelter and Phu Quy fishing port.

At the inspection area, the construction unit reported on the implementation status of the Project. This is a key project approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (formerly) in Decision No. 5048 dated December 27, 2022. The goal is to complete the construction of a safe anchorage area for about 1,000 fishing vessels with a capacity of up to 600CV, serving fishermen... while supporting the development of the marine economy and affirming national sovereignty.

The project has a total investment of more than 446 billion VND, from the central budget managed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, with an implementation period from 2023 to 2026. The investor is the Provincial Agricultural Project Management Board. Currently, the project is implementing 3 main packages. Package No. 18 includes the following items: Dredging anchorage and shipping channels; construction of bank protection embankments; installation of anchor buoys and channel signaling systems, site leveling... has currently achieved 91.88% of the implementation volume, expected to be completed before October 26, 2025.

Package No. 19 related to onshore technical infrastructure systems such as: Internal roads, water supply - drainage system, lighting, wastewater treatment plant, management house, sanitation, security... reached 86.22% volume, expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025. Package No. 20 supplies and installs equipment, has completed signing the contract and received the construction site by the end of June 2025. The relevant parties are speeding up the implementation progress to ensure handover on schedule.

Up to now, the project has been allocated a planned capital of 311.65 billion VND, of which 272.5 billion VND has been disbursed, achieving a high rate compared to the progress.

Speaking at the inspection, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen acknowledged the sense of responsibility and efforts of the construction units, highly appreciated the work of ensuring the progress and quality of the project. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the project not only meets technical standards but also has aesthetic value, ensuring multi-purpose functions: storm shelter, fishing port and serving the development of sea and island tourism in the future. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the units continue to arrange sufficient materials and human resources, speed up construction so that the project can be completed and put into use before September 30, 2025, earlier than planned...
